What can I make with the kit?
You can make anything from a ring, a necklace pendant, cufflinks, charms, a fabulous pet tag for your cherished family pup! Use the enclosed wax to carve and shape your design, and we'll casting it in solid sterling silver (as standard)!
Each 'Casting Code' is for a single jewellery item, and each kit can be used to create unlimited pieces forever! Simply submit each item online, and return to us. Need more wax for your kit, top it up in the Makers Table shop.

Can I make more the one jewellery piece?
Your kit can be used to create as many jewellery pieces as you like, however, your casting code is single use only. To submit multiple pieces, simply submit the form using your unique kit registration code for each individual item. You can pay for additional castings there and then - simple. 🤩

Can I cast in gold or platinum?
100% YES! 🤩 Although our silver casting prices are fixed, our pricing is slightly different for gold and for platinum. As these metal prices are significantly higher, the fairest method of pricing is based on the weight of your wax. This means that you only pay for what you have created, and the process is just as simple.
Submit and return your wax to us as normal and select the desired base metal. Once we receive your creation, we will weigh it and provide you with a quote and a payment link. If you're happy, you can pay. If it's a little too much, you can revert to silver or change to a different base metal.

How long does the process take?
The time can vary depending on a number of factors. We typically aim for 3 weeks from the moment we receive and check in your wax. However, the more complex your specification, or if we are experiencing a slight production backlog, the timeline can be slightly extended.
In any case, we always work as fast as we can to get your jewellery creations back to you.

Is this suitable for children?
Yes, but... we would ALWAYS recommend adult supervision with anyone under the age of 18. The kit does contain sharp elements and can only be purchased by anyone over the age of 18.
There are plenty of methods that can be safely used by children, and this is a fantastic way to learn new skills and techniques with your hands. Play safe, and have fun.

How do I get more wax templates?
If you have a kit, you can register it to your account, login and visit the Makers Table shop. Here, you can purchase wax refills and everything to fully replenish your kit! Ready to get creative again, all from as little as 50p!!

What are the different casting types?
We have three different casting types to categorise any jewellery creation that we receive. The differences between each casting type is simply the limit on 'wax weight', and whether it is for 'single item jewellery', or 'paired item jewellery' (such as earrings or cufflinks, not two rings).
