Once we receive your wax, we set the casting wheels in motion.

Our in-house team turn your wax, into precious metal, using an ancient jewellery making process, lost wax casting. In short, we create a plaster mould around the wax, burn the wax out (once in the kiln), and pour the metal of choice (Gold, Silver, Platinum), into the void left behind.

The result, a solid metal casting, preserving every detail and impression from your wax! We then finish each piece by hand and return, to your door, in approx 3 weeks!

Finishing Touches

You may wish to add a little ‘je ne sais quoi’ – We offer a wide range of optional upgrades and further personalisation options*.

Anything goes. The world of possibility is yours.

Gold Plating

We can finish your ring in both polished and statine matte, yellow and rose gold plates.

Laser Engraving

Personalise your piece with a special engraved message

Base Metal Upgrade

Want something more than silver, we can cast your piece in any precious metal; 18ct Gold, Platinum… and so on!

Diamond and Stone Setting

We can stone set CZs and diamonds directly into your piece! Diamonds, seriously!

*Optional extras available at an additional charge.

How do I know what size to get?

Our kits come in five generic costume jewellery sizes from Extra Small (UK Size I) or Extra Large (UK Size U).

If you are unsure which size to choose from, you can make use of our printable Ring Size Guide.  We recommend printing this pdf at 100% scale (important!) to make sure that the measurements are correct.

If you happen to know your exact ring size, just select ‘Custom Size’ and let us know in the checkout order notes. We will then size the kit perfectly to fit you!!

What is the difference between a 4mm, 8mm and 12mm wax thickness?

We offer different wax thicknesses to allow you to create different types of rings. For example, for slimmer and more delicate designs the 4mm wax is an excellent starting point. With an 8mm wax you can create that chunky statement ring. Finally, a 12mm wax is perfect for a signet ring! The possibilities are limitless!

Is the wax easy to carve?

In short, yes! Very! I know, it could seem a bit daunting at first the prospect of carving and sculpting your own jewellery piece, but trust us, it’s easy once you dive in! And addictive! We have a general rule to help guide you that works for 99% of designs. We call it ‘The 90/10 rule’. – 90% Sandpaper – Use the coarse sandpaper to get the shape you’re looking for, and the fine sandpaper to smooth and fine-tune the shape. When using the coarse sandpaper, be careful not to go too thin or you’ll be at risk of breaking the wax. The fine sandpaper can remove all of the scratches and create that perfectly smooth finish. – 10% Everything Else – Use the selection of tools in your kit to create a range of textures, shapes and finishing touches to your jewellery piece. It is as simple as that!

How many waxes do I get?

In each kit is six waxes! That means plenty of chances to get it wrong, practice and even make multiple jewellery pieces!! Do not fear failure, fear never trying in the first place!

To take it a step further, you can always ask for more wax if you run out and every month we give you the opportunity to replenish your kit for FREE!!

What is the difference between ‘Kit Only’ and ‘Kit and Ring’?

The kit is simply £30. This is your toolkit to create all of your jewellery, and should give you lifetime value!! Each piece you send to us to cast and finish in 925 silver is £60 (for 4mm waxes), £80 (for 8mm waxes) and £95 (for 12mm waxes).

A ‘Kit Only’ option provides you with the full kit, but without the finished silver ring. This can be paid later when you come to submit your first jewellery piece.

The ‘Kit and Ring’ option includes everything above PLUS your first jewellery piece cast and finished in 925 silver.

What do I get inside a kit?

Included inside the kit is:

– Fully illustrated instructions – Sheffield-made Carving Knife – 2 Unique Steel Shaping Tools – Multi-Face Steel File – Coarse and Fine Sandpaper – A return tin – A Freepost envelope addressed to us – Six waxes

All encased in a solid wood protective case, and a beautifully illustrated (by Geo Law) sleeve. Perfect for gifting!

Is the ring included in the price?

For ‘Kit and Ring’ options, Yes! This includes the first finished ring that you return to us. Once we receive your finished wax ring, we cast it, hand finish it to your specification and return to you in beautiful packaging.

How do you cast the rings?

We use a process called lost-wax casting. It is an ancient process thousands of years old whereby the wax is literally ‘sacrificed’ in the kiln and replaced with solid precious metal. Every detail and impression is preserved, and most importantly, no two jewellery pieces will ever be the same!!

How long does it take the receive my finished ring?

All rings are estimated to be returned to you within approx 2-3 weeks. If you have requested an internal engraving or base metal upgrade, then this can something take a tiny bit longer. We’ll be as quick as we can though!

It is a gift, but I don’t know their ring size! What do I do?

The best thing to do is try and sneak a ring that you know fits them and check it against our Size Guide. If your best guess isn’t good enough, not a problem!! Just get in touch with a ring size and we will send you fresh sized waxes right away!

This is a gift, can you post it discreetly?

Sure! Your secret is safe with us. Just select ‘this is a gift’ below the Add to Card button above and we will remove all of our branding on the parcel we send to you.

How do you know which wax ring is mine?

Fear not! We’ve been doing this a while now and boast a 100% record of reuniting a finished ring with its creator. On each tin there will be a unique code which tells us which online submission it corresponds to. Just make sure you send your ring back to us inside this tin!
